Local Foundation Offers Children Empowerment through Music Education

Dr. Luis Dias’ organization, Child’s Play, is a Goa-based youth music education group that seeks to provide training to aspiring orchestral musicians. Drawn primarily from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds, the students are trained by local teachers in a variety of instruments. Dr. Dias hopes to expand his group’s horizon to the national level, and to eventually draw and train additional teachers to help with his group. Child’s Play operates three centers across the state and includes children from a variety of family backgrounds.
