All about the #MakaNakaPlastic Campaign
Posted on 16/07/2022On the 28th of November 2022, Act for Goa was felicitated at the CleanAThon event among other brilliant NGO’s, organisations and Panchayats for participating and doing exemplary work for Goa’s environment. The other 5 recipients were Drishti Foundation, Aranya Environment Research Organisation, Mormugao Municipality, Canacona Municipality and CCP Commissioner Mr. Agnelo AJ Fernandes.
CleanAThon is a movement towards cleanliness of our beaches, to create awareness towards marine life , waste management, tourism, sustainability, and other areas that need our attention.
This particular CleanAThon event was oraganised by the Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP), My Gov Goa, Divyaj Foundation and Bhamla Foundation, and was the concluding event of the International Film Festival Goa (IFFI) that was flagged off Hon. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and & Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Prahmod Sawant.
Other who joined the were Jackie Shroff, Remo D’Souza, Karan Kundrra and other dignitaries.
We at Act for Goa are honoured and hope to continue to inspire and help the people of Goa contribute to a better Goa in every which way, and hope to see more of such efforts be recognised!
