To formulate the State Climate Action Plan, The goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) had called for written inputs and suggestions and help 2 consecutive meetings wherein around 150 suggestions were received in all.

The plan is to be submitted to the Union Ministry of environment (MoEFCC). 40 to 50 suggestions were received for the plan. Besides incorporating these inputs, the state action plan will also include data like weather data of the last 50 years of the India Meteorology Department. The report will also indicate areas vulnerable to sea level rise.

Besides calling for inputs from the general public, suggestions were also sought from representatives of scientific forum from institutes like the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO_ and Goa University among others.

Based on the plan, the state government will receive funds from the Centre to mitigate issues concerned with climate change.
