Minutes of the 132nd meeting of the Goa State Pollution Control Board, Panjim (29 Jun. 2018). Highlights include:

  • Mormugao Port Trust application for handling of new industrial products and resources considered, requirement for Environmental Clearance issued before permission to be granted in order to minimize resulting air pollution
  • South West Port Ltd. granted permission for shipment of coal, required to provide Rs. 1 Crore deposit in case of non-compliance with environmental regulations,  coal shipments capped and must be evenly distributed throughout the year
  • proposed fish processing plant at Barcem-Quedem denied provisional permission, due to objection from local village panchayat
