Minutes of the 132nd meeting of the Goa State Pollution Control Board, Panjim (27 Mar. 2018). Highlights include:

  • ships at Mormugao Port directed to suspend coal shipping operations immediately (as of Jan. 2018)
  • approval for purchase of continuous ambient air quality monitoring station (CAAQMS)
  • South West Port Ltd. denied consent to resume coal and related industrial shipping & processing
  • consent given for renewal of permission to establish waste treatment plant at Cacora
  • denial of consent for change of purpose at Mormugao Port to begin handling pig iron and other industrial products
  • increase in handling fees for biomedical waste and for casino-generated sewage
