Implementation Guidelines for E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016

Under the notion of Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP), producers of electronics and other items known to generate e-waste are given the responsibility for ensuring that there are adequate facilities to dispose of e-waste in a safe manner. Producers of such products are required to attest that they have read this document and agree to its provisions, and they must list each product produced by them that may fall under the category of e-waste. Guidelines are also given to recyclers, refurbishers, and dismantlers of e-waste containing products.
